Grief Support Group

Grief Support Group

San Francisco Suicide Prevention aims to support those at risk for suicide and those who have lost someone to suicide. While all loss survivors are encouraged to reach out to our crisis line for support, we do offer some peer-based in-person services specifically tailored to help those who are processing this very specific type of loss.

SFSP Teamwork

What we offer:

We provide eight-week peer-led (not clinical) support groups for people who have lost a loved one to suicide. These groups offer a safe and non-judgmental space to share experiences and listen to other survivors. All participants are asked to meet with our Grief Coordinator in advance to discuss the loss and whether the support group would be helpful.

Drop-in Support Group:

The drop-in group is only for survivors that have already completed the San Francisco Suicide Prevention six or eight-week group and would like to stay connected with other survivors throughout the year.
