At San Francisco Suicide Prevention we recognize that when a young person is in crisis, they will often go to a peer before turning to an adult. This is why we offer youth-based presentations on the topics of Suicide and Self-destructive Behaviors. The 45-minute presentation is designed to teach students how to recognize self-destructive behaviors and suicidal ideation, and the discussion provides practical information on peer-based interventions. The presentation is offered at no cost to schools and youth service organizations.

In addition, we also provide suicide prevention workshops for teacher groups and human service agency staff, free of cost. These staff development workshops can be modified in length and focus upon request to better serve the your specific needs. We are an S.F. Unified School District approved CBO and our curriculums are available upon request.
