HIV/AIDS Nightline Team – AIDS Walk

Sunday, July 16th

Our team is participating in the 2017 AIDS Walk San Francisco, a 10K fundraising walk to fight the epidemic. The money we raise will directly support the HIV/AIDS Nightline Program of San Francisco Suicide Prevention. We are a 24/7 service that provides resources, referrals, medical information, and emotional support to people with HIV/AIDS and their loved ones.

San Francisco Jewish Film Festival

San Francisco Suicide Prevention is proud to be one of San Francisco Jewish Film Festival’s community partners! The two agencies are coming together around the documentary 32 PILLS, which explores grief, loss, family, and relapse as the filmmaker, Hope Litoff, engages with the life and legacy of her sister, Ruth, who died by suicide. The film charts Hope’s excavation of the belongings that Ruth left behind as well as Hope’s journey to learn more about her older sister.

Host your own SFSP event:

San Francisco Suicide Prevention loves fundraising events, large and small. Community events help break down some of the stigma about suicide and mental health concerns. The agency produces three big fundraising events every year; Laughs for Life, the Heroes of Nonprofit Luncheon, and the HIV Nightline World Travel Raffle.

We also depend on small events developed by community members: everything from bake sales, happy hour events, memorial Rugby games, to concerts, and anything else a group of people can think of. This is a wonderful way to host a party for your friends, and help a great cause at the same time! If you would like to develop an event for the agency or if you are interested in joining an event planning committee, contact Eve Meyer at [email protected]
